Bringing Hope & Healing to Every Rescue

Animal Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Transport in West Texas. Powered by your generosity, we help neglected animals recover, thrive, and find their perfect forever families.

OUR NONPROFIT

Your Generosity in Action

Rescue the Animals is a 100% donation-run organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and rehoming of animals from over 20 West Texas counties. We don't receive government funding—so every rescue, medical treatment, and safe transition is made possible entirely through your generosity.

UNDERSTANDING OUR MISSION

Rescue vs. Shelter

To help us serve the animal community effectively, it’s important to understand how our mission differs from a traditional local animal shelter.

Rescue the Animals (that's us!)

Intake Policy: Not an open-intake shelter. We cannot accept local stray drop-offs or local owner surrenders.

Funding: 100% donation-run and privately funded; receives no government assistance.

Focus: Rescuing and Rehabilitating vulnerable, abused, or neglected animals brought in primarily from rural shelters or from abuse, neglect, & hoarding seizures.

Traditional Area Shelters

Intake Policy: Typically open-intake facilities that accept local stray animals, drop-offs, and local owner surrenders.

Funding: Often funded or supported by city/county government contracts.

Focus: Managing local pet populations and providing immediate local animal control services.

STORIES OF SECOND CHANCES

"Now called Hank, he is the best dog in the World! Handsome too! Everyone who meets Hank loves him, and he loves them right back. Goes on daily walks with his Dad, gets a cooked egg for breakfast every morning, tons of affection, and Hank is the very essence of a joyful dog. We are so blessed! Thank you for letting us adopt Hank!
